LC34SO
Overview
LC34SO (Tank Lesbians) is a post-apocalyptic deck-building game for adults about survival, romance and finding yourself after the world takes everything you've ever known away from you, but gives you a tank in exchange. Join Captain, Gunner, Loader and Driver in media res as they struggle for meaning and survival against ravenous foes, dwindling supplies and an ever-encroaching sense that everyone involved is exactly the wrong person for the job. On the 3rd of June, 2010, the "2010 Jupiter Impact Event" went under-reported as a series of super bolide impacts on the southern equatorial belt of Jupiter. There was no way to know that these 2000 ton heralds were just the vanguard for a Comet that struck the far-side of our Solar System's largest gas-giant in a direct impact that, had it happened to Earth, would have meant the end of all things. For Jupiter, it was just another meal. A mercilessly short 15 years later, the comet, catalyzed by the primordial gasses trapped within Jupiter, erupted back out into the solar system with a furious ambition unknown since the Gigantomachia of Greek myth. Inexorably drawn toward the best orbit in The Solar System, The Comet evaded detection by springing out of the shadow of Mars, and seized Earth in a contest of magnetism that locked us both in a deadly binary orbit. Those who looked up at the mid-day sky that day saw Earth's Moon locked a death-grip with the would-be usurper, mercilessly raked by electrical arcs of immeasurable power.
The last thing they would have seen was our dear Luna split in half by tidal forces beyond our reckoning, spilling billions of white-hot chunks of lunar rock and cometary sediment down to Earth's surface. With the last of Earth's protectors slain, the sky wept plasma. The body of her attacker disappeared behind the smoke and ash as she drowned in darkness licked by oily flames, her ravishment punctuated by flashes of plasmoids that pierced the night, and the horrific sounds of the cosmic onslaught. Our planet and The Comet moshed through Earth's customary orbit, desperately clawing and scraping each other with lightning. Earth's magnetic poles shifted dramatically as She struggled for a grip on her cometary attacker in an orbital grapple. After a week of chaos and destruction, the cosmic combatants approached Venus, who flung Earth and The Comet away from one another in her pass, ending the match in a bitter draw.
Bloody but unbowed, Earth limped back into its place in the order of the planets. Temporarily thwarted, The Comet escaped into the Solar tides, trailing behind Venus in her orbit, building up the momentum it would need to finish the job it began. When at last the fog of intraplanetary war parted, the meager light of our distant sun illuminated the rubble we were left with. The primordial power discharged by the gigantomachia made a nonsense of the feeble electrical infrastructure modern humanity touted as its greatest achievement. Smoldering craters and burning rifts left the land twisted and unrecognizable. Our precious art and architecture lay in ruin. Our agriculture had burned to noxious ash in the burning oils that fell from the sky. And then, out of the darkness, creatures came. Dark creatures, burning with primordial hunger.
